Stacy Multi Tribute Artist

Stacy began singing at the age of 12, forming an accapella vocal harmony group with friends using 3 and 4 part harmonies. This led them to win talent shows and to appear on BBC television to showcase the use of harmonies as well as appearing on the local ITV news. Shortly after a few vocal performances, they chose to pick up instruments and create an all female rock band. This is where Stacy began to play lead guitar. As well as this, she has tried her hand at bass guitar, drums and piano. 
  This is where Onyx began its life and went on to win the well known 'Rock the Castle' competition. This gave them the opportunity to record orignally penned songs at UB40's recording studio in Birmingham where Ali Campbell listened to thier music. Onyx toured a lot and got to play at Ronnie Scott's to round off the 'Rock the Castle' tour they were part of. 
  Onyx were recommended by some well known artists such as Roy Wood, who invited them to support him on his xmas shows on two occasions. They were also championed by Pete Boot, drummer of legendary rockers 'Budgie', who at one point played for the girls when they changed drummer and became a good friend. This led them to meet Mick Hughes, the sound engineer for Metallica. This is where they were offered a contract but the group soon folded after the departure of their drummer.
   After a couple of years, two of the original Onyx members joined forces again to create 'HotRoxx'. This again would become an all girl rock band, focusing on the Glam Rock scene and heavily influenced by bands such as Kiss.  As a result they became involved in supporting 'Dressed to Kill', the number one Kiss tribute on tour. Both Onyx and HotRoxx appeared on local radio stations with their original music, a few of these being penned by Stacy herself. 
  After a few line up changes, Stacy decided to leave HotRoxx to follow a solo career. She has taken her band scene experience and moulded it into her solo performance which has led to her being known as 'The Rock Chick' and most recently as the 'Queen of Rock'. 
   Stacy burst onto the solo scene as she tries not to follow the usual trends and has carved her own unique style that is completely different and accepts any challenge thrown to her! She still acknowledges her rock roots, playing the guitar and tailoring a rock set that can be performed exclusively. 
  Once she went solo it became obvious that audiences made comparisons vocally to the legend Cher, who herself is somewhat of a rock chick. The power and finesse of Stacy's vocals have led her to create a tribute show to the female icon.  Her tribute 'Cherished' took the Midlands by storm, earning 3 awards for her tribute show in the space of 6 months! The show has been taken abroad and toured Marbella and La Cala in Spain and Argassi and Kalamaki in Zante where both Stacy's Cher and Pink show went down a storm and had rave reviews. Not only that, she does flybacks to many countries to entertain the holiday makers at Sensatori's 5* resorts for Thompson. Stacy also brought her Cher act to the TV for a programme called 'Faking Famous' where she competed to be the best tribute act against Elvis and Barry White.  Stacy has also appeared exclusively on Sky TV's 'Crusing With The Stars', an hour show devoted to Stacy's life in music. You will also find Cherished in an edition of Bride's Magazine on their feature CD Rom and was also published in a photography book based on the true lives of a tribute artist.
  Stacy also worked with a songwriting team on some killer dance tracks with the purpose of pitching them to artists such as Leona Lewis and the Saturdays. As well as being a demo vocalist, Stacy has also worked as a backing singer for the huge rock band Magnum. She is listed on their new album 'On The 13th Day'. You can listen out for her on the track 'From Within'. This led to her being a more regular session backing vocalist for many backing tracks that can be found on big karaoke company tracks.
  After the freedom of being a solo artist, Stacy felt ready to once again be part of a band. She was approached by other professional musicians and was asked to join forces with them on a new project, a female fronted Queen tribute band! She became 'Freda Mercury' and 'She Will Rock You' entertained audiences from Dec 2011 until it's demise in 2015. They also won an award in that short space of time! The band played some big gigs, including playing for the people of Wolvehampton for the Queen's Jubilee with the guitarist playing 'God Save The Queen' lifted high above the crowds in the air.
